I hope the writers did exaggeraye the mother and daughters behavior and characteristics cause they seem shallow and extremely naive at some points in the series. To the point that you end up not enjoying the characters at some parts... all the red flags... and overwhelming stupidity. Apart from that.... I'm glad she got to defend herself in real life and he is gone.
