Ummmm, where is the redemption in this version? Why does this beautiful story of forgiveness have to include Me too and reparations? Why do we have to rewrite a classic to fit our inability to see people as imperfect and needing understanding and compassion? I actually liked this movie until the end. What a cold, false interpretation of the classic. Heaven help us if we treat our fellow man like this. Isn't that what everyone is screaming about these days, loving our neighbor?
