So after watching the boys season 1, I was blown away by the performances and action that was prevalent right from the get go.
Some of the characters seriously push the envelope about what is morally right and wrong and this sparked me to swear in disbelief. But that’s one of the best themes that the show portrays. The fact that “superheroes” aren’t always super, makes them feel more real. I found myself so invested in the relationships and betrayals between characters and was so sad when the truth was revealed. I didn’t expect it but I really grew to care about the boys and the sups.
I was so hooked by season 1 that I went straight into season 2 with high expectations. I wasn’t disappointed. Brutally violent and then brilliantly comedic, the flip between the two was great.
As was present in the first season, season 2 had its fair share of relationships and romance and this made for wonderful viewing. The romance lead to some fantastically wholesome moments and was my favourite part of the second season.
I now find myself saddened by the fact that the boys is already over and can’t wait for season 3.
