It’s well shot and takes time to showcase the scenery and architecture. But they have made Tom creepy, awkward and unlikeable from the start and makes you wonder why Dickie would have given him the time of day whereas in the original movie Tom is very likeable and you can see why Dickie likes him.

Dark, disturbing and intense from start to end. Not an easy watch, definitely not light hearted but great film and great back story. Outstanding performance by Joaquin Phoenix ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
