A strong book in the mystery/thriller genre. In a world filled with the works of the great Agatha Christie and other famous authors, it is difficult to make a book which lives up to the expectations of past mystery readers. However, The Hunting Party turned out to be a decent read. Although its characters are well-developed, they are definitely not the most likeable at times, which strangely adds in to the beauty of the story. It incorporates a good build-up of suspense throughout its chapters and its story includes dozens of original features, twists and turns. Overall, it would be a fine starter for those just being introduced to the world of murder, mystery and suspense.
