I think it’s the best k-drama that I have come across so far. I was not happy though why it was not included in the scenes where Deongsun and Taek told everyone about their relationship and no wedding scene for them either, and why Bora and Sunwoo’s kissing scenes were way much better than the main roles kissing scenes? haha!
I saw comments questioning why Deoksun chose Taek. Well, it was narrated by Jungpal that his “hesitation” was the cause that he lost his first love. He had so many chances before Taek declared that he likes her. In fact, she made moves to make Jungpal confess but he did not do so! He always hesitated. At first I was rooting for him but if you compare how he and Taek treat her, Jungpal always treat her with disdain and he seems he was embarrassed if the others will find out about his feelings for her, whilst Taek always found her adorable, faults and all, and just dotes on her and gentle on her, and proud to declare that he liked her. Taek was the better choice because he always brought out the mature side of Deongsun. And they love each other anyways.
But all in all, it was indeed a beautiful drama and I can relate a bit because I had a lot of close guy friends in college and on my last semester I was the only girl among our group of 7. We all slept in a single sleeping mat after disco or parties.
Watching the Reply 1994 and now at episode 2, but no spark so far compared to 1988 when after episode 1 i was already hooked. Wish I could have watched 1988 series sooner. Kudos to the writer and director and the believable cast. Bravo!
