One Word Review - Very Boring and too many loopholes in the Plot. A Python course on CourseEra can have better rating than this show. The best thing about the show is Ian Somerhalder. Probably the saving grace. His "90's Shah Rukh Khan" Expressions are lovely and his character does have layers and evolves with the series. Rest of the cast just wants to protect Elena and want each other's attention. Everything emotional comes down to - "I am really sorry let's kiss". Loopholes - 1) In the first season Damon and Stefan are the only vampires with rings that protects them from sunlight. As the show progresses suddenly every Vampire can come out in sunlight. 2) In the first season Stefan goes neurotic when he tastes human blood again. Although rest of the Vampires are also doing the same thing (Drinking blood daily) but they are perfectly fine. 3) Every single person is something or the other. There are more mystic characters than humans in the show. 4) Turning vampire is like going to Candy shop. Any character human today can be Vampire tomorrow. 5) Students there do everything except studying. There is a Ball , a party or a fundraiser after every two episodes. It is a Childish TV Series , with Teenage plots yet with lots of kissing and Love entanglements. If you loved Game of Thrones , Peaky Blinders , Broadwalk Empire. Stay away from this.
