I would give 0/5 if I could. I'm not one of those Last of Us fans who is upset about Ellie being lesbian, or playing as a girl for the majority of the game... but I am insulted by the story they decided to piece together out of scraps of cliche moral lessons. The Last of Us I's story was amazing due the character development of Ellie and Joel's relationship, and they completely negate it by making Ellie an emotionally one-note character to conviently express the moral objective of this terrible story. Apparently they promoted this game as "emotionally raw and hard to play" but in reality I just don't want to play it however far I am into it now. Between killing dogs and having the old "an eye for an eye makes the world go blind" lesson shoved down my throat... this game is aggressively insulting. Wow, I want my money back.
