I like Joy, but be thing she does something constantly that irritates me - She refers to the Rev. Dr. William Barber as a “Bishop.” He is not. Don’t get me wrong, I love Dr. Barber, but he is not a bishop. The title “bishop” is reserved for those who have been consecrated by bishops who have been consecrated by bishops theoretically going back to St. Peter, ie., the first Pope. This is known as the “Apostolic Succession.” As much as I admire Dr. Barber, he is not a bishop, in the true ecclesiastical sense of that word. Joy is one of the few (maybe the only) people who seem to insist on calling Dr. Barber “bishop.” It is incorrect. Please take note. Thank you.
