Five stars for a number of reasons. First, the grappling hook. You can actually do a plethora of stuff with it, like flying cars, boats, cows, etc., redefining what "creative explosions" mean (I actually racked up a Tsar Bomba-type non-nuclear explosion), and literally pulling helicopters from the sky! I typically end my enemies creatively, such as leaving them stranded dead in midair. Also, the grapple hook can be used to clear wreckage from the road, so that NPCs can safely pass through. Second, the advancement. I feel like other games were missing strike ops missions, which is what JC4 has. Squad reserves are also a nice touch, as, once you have enough squads, you can advance the frontlines. Oh, and speaking of frontlines, the border of a region is a warzone, which I love. Finally, biomes and weather. The northeast is a desert with a sandstorm, the northwest is a lightning-infested jungle, the south is South America's Tornado Alley, and in the center is a snow-capped mountain range. I feel like those biomes make for some... rather interesting tactics.
