It's sad that this amazing Cuban music and musicians had to remain "underground" and unknown to the wotld outside until Fidel Castro's death. If Castro had lived on, most of these senior Cuban native musicians would have been dead and their excellent Cuban sound/music would have been lost to us forever.

HBO has had and has produced many outstanding series for cable TV over the years but this one, along with "Deadwood" and "The Sopranos", is one of their best.
