If I could give a zero I would for this movie. Don't watch it because it will ruin your childhood memories of the animated verizon. Mulan has been reversed engineered to fit the ideals of china culture in a way that is not cute or childish. It is to it's core the idea that the good the of empire comes before yourself and your family. Everything is for the empire, and that is the core of this movie. Not that mulan is special, not that horrible war scene when she saves the army(not really) and her journey was technically hard for her. It's about giving up everything for the country and the family radiates that idea as well. Awful movie that doesn't encourage anything the original stood for. It maintains the status quo.
