This film makes you stop for awhile and think about what you just saw. I wondered why the Indian had short chopped hair, why he was wandering in the desert? Had he been cast out of his home? Was he mentally ill? I agree with another review that said the oxen and horses would have collapsed without sufficient water, even if the people pressed on. It seemed extremely brave of the women to approach the stranger with such trust, I wouldn’t have been able to do that after hearing so many exaggerated stories about native Americans.
