This was fun to read, for several reasons: First, it was published in 1925. Great for its perspective of the 1920's era! Second, it has a command of the vernacular of the pre-Revolutionary period. Third, it offers insights into a long dead era. I'm a retired history teacher, and I learned plenty from Mr. Boyd about the American Revolution. Finally, it was a page turner. I can't tell you the last time I enjoyed reading a novel by an American author.
