Burps and vomit, cussing for the sake of cussing. Really chasing that low brow humor and super obvious and tired jokes as well. None of the charm of the Critical Role series. Everything was cliche and nothing fresh or interesting. I feel like if I keep watching its going to make me resent the cast for ruining the fond memories of the original.

I feel like the movie secretly wanted us to like the main character but she was so unlikable and awful that I'm just mad that worst things didn't happen to her. Spoiler: How can the writers justify a mob boss killer forgiving someone who treated his mom that way? I kept waiting for the "gotcha" moment where he gets revenge.

I really enjoy the show. Its doesn't focus on the "prince Adam" He-Man but instead Teela and her discovery of he-man throughout history. Its very well done and the animation is cool.

*I DID NOT READ THE BOOKS * So going into this movie I had no expectations beyond wanting to be entertained. I was not... The dialogue, plot, and acting were all awful. Several times during the movie I had to stop and asked what happened because it made several quick jumps with little explanation but then other scenes were unnecessarily drawn out. The magic was never talked about other than some CGI hand waving. There was a magic acorn.. I have no idea what this thing is or does or why I should want ether side to have it. I know it was changed from the books and I'm indifferent to the changes but they could have at least made a good movie.
