Emma Stone watched a lot of Eva Green flicks preparing for this role, it feels like. The soundtrack does a lot to try and keep this movie afloat. If you are a fan of consistency, probably not for you - this movie pretty much negates everything the original 101D movie was about and retcons the entirety of 102 by doing so. This Cruella isn't even obsessed with fur and mentions it maybe twice in the two hours it takes to tell this story, which was kinda her whole thing. Less an origin story and more of an entire reboot of the character.
