Perfect Blue is a fantastic film. It's good, don't get me wrong. But these are different films. One was based off the manga written by Yoshikazu Takeuchi, whereas Black Swan was based off of Swan Lake and an original story written by Andres Heinz. While both wonderful films, they are their own films, and I love them both. But comparing them is how people get confused and let down. This movie is not supposed to be a copy of Perfect Blue, so don't expect that from this movie, or you will be let down. This movie is perfect on its own.
