My Review of The Handmaidโs Tale
I was completely hooked when the series first started โ the story was intense, emotional, and full of action. I kept coming back year after year, eagerly waiting for each new season. The first three seasons were fantastic: gripping plotlines, strong character arcs, and powerful storytelling.
But from Season 4 onwards, things started to go downhill. The pace slowed dramatically, the storyline lost direction, and it felt like half the screen time was just extreme close-ups of Elisabeth Mossโs face. Donโt get me wrong โ sheโs an incredible actress โ but after a while, it felt like the show was just stalling.
And then came Season 6. After years of waiting, I was expecting a powerful conclusion. Instead, we got a repetitive, drawn-out season that added almost nothing to the story. Scenes felt recycled, there was barely any action or closure, and worst of all, it didnโt give a proper ending to any of the major characters still alive. It felt like a total waste of time.
I never thought Iโd say this about The Handmaidโs Tale, but the finale was deeply disappointing โ a weak, hollow ending to what was once an incredible series.
