Yes, this isn't your run of the mill, "turn your brain off" sci Fi...it's actually just about every genre rolled into one. The desperation illustrated throughout is intoxicating. Great cast of likeable actors (you easily root for them) without them being too well know to drag other characters they've played into the script. I love that this season is simply the premise of the main invasion planned for a few seasons out. In a world of instant gratification it's refreshing to see a show take their time.
