For those mixed reviews, please read this!!!!
I'm seeing all negative reviews about the film. But, I don't know why I loved the film so much and it's treatment.
It's a crazy outing by Karthick subbaraj. If you take his previous films, they all had that completeness. But, y not Jagame thanthiram? - first of all, the film is not for everyone. Jagame Thanthiram is a pure theatre material. And the story is purely based on Eelam tamils and its diaspora so, some of the audience would have found it difficult to connect. And also due to tamil nativity stuff. But then, what's happening around is true and everybody knows which is hard to accept.
Talking about the content, as I mentioned it as theatrical content. Which means there are and were scenes which would have made the audience go mad in theatres. Which didn't happen. When it comes to an International OTT platform. You'll have to remove certain scenes and songs to make it intact to the audience. Suppose, the film will take its time to say it in 3 hours, the OTT cut will be around 2.30 hours. Ultimately, you are loosing a quarter of the film. Which results in jumping of scenes very fast now and then.
And certain emotions require it's time to deliver. This might be the reason y people were unable to get into the film or may be not.
My view towards the film,
The film is truely an outclass content. Brilliant making. Making a film outside the borders would feel alienated sometimes. But it was made as pure film. The dialogues, the actions everything blended well. So great. Hatsoff Karthik Subbaraj.
It's truly an theatre material but the content might not have been delivered to the world audience if not OTT. So, it's a wise choice by releasing this in OTT. But, it should have released in other OTT platforms without any cuts.
Performances
#jojogeorge, was perfect. Stitched for the character. He'll mark his place soon in other industries too.
#AishwaryaLekshmi, she's the soul. She'll make a big impact in the industry. Brilliant performance. Justified!!!
#JamesCosmo, ivaru than da foreign villain. PETER MAMA😅, the dialogues for him were perfect. Enjoyed him throughout. Climax was pakka.
Other actors too justified their role.
Finally, it's D!! @dhanushkraja most
dangerous, notorious actor the Indian industry has seen and will see. The way he handled the content was excellent
His Body Language, Shades of Ranjinikanth can be seen. Simply superb. He's already attained a peak. But, that's not it..he'll make it bigger than that.
Peeps, this film is meant to be enjoyed. During this hard times. So, just go have a watch. It'll not fail you. A pakka commercial with a very good content.
