Mermaid Dena

They've taken something cool that we grew up with and completely annihilated it. There is a blatant disregard for any of the source material that made She-Ra what she was! The original She-Ra was cool, calm, and knew how solve issues. All of the characters now talk with this annoying, whiny, millennial speak that just seems so superficial. There used to be the neat thing at the end of the original show that actually taught kids something, the moral of the story. This new bunch focuses on what, princess prom? The Horde seems so inept for what is supposed to be such an antagonistic force. There's that, and it feels like we're being beaten over the head with such an obvious agenda all around. The artwork and animation is subpar, the voice acting is horrendous and the attempts at humor are just completely unnecessary. This may be an ok cartoon if they had called it anything else, but pasting She-Ra's name on it is such a slap in the face to the people who loved her back in the day. We were the ones who loved her even long after the show ended! We were the ones that went to the cons and relaunched more collectible action figures and dolls, collected the old action figures we had as kids from eBay and memorabilia shops, and we were the ones waiting for her to come back to maybe continue the story or expand upon the He-Man & She-Ra universe (of which there is no He-Man this go-round).....and this is what they gave us. When people say "it's a kid's show", that's true only to a certain extent. Without all of us true She-Ra fans of yore, the ones that made her our world when WE were kids, there wouldn't even be a cartoon worth rebooting! They need to shelve it and try again later because they completely missed the mark.
