Beautifully composed poems on many themes. I read from start to finish in one go and this seemed quite natural. The long poems were quite riveting in the way they expressed Carolus's deep emotions. His lost love must have been bemused by the way they moved from humour and love and to the dark blackness of death and misery.
A jolly good read!
