I had never heard about this movie and I watched it twice, that’s how good it is. It’s a must see, not only for the beautiful performances, it’s visually beautiful as well. Fantastic cinematography that captures that part of the South perfectly. Cate is fantastic as always, but Giovanni Ribisi steals the show. He gives an Oscar worthy performance here. Every character in this movie draws you in immediately and the casting is flawless. Keanu Reaves gives a stellar performance as this type of villain. Katie Holmes leaves you wishing that she had more screen time, and Greg Kinnear is perfectly cast here. I recommended it to my sister and her husband and they were glad that I did. They were on the edge of their seats as well due to the masterful storytelling here.
