It's like a murder mystery docudrama as a tv series. If you like murder mysteries, you will like this. Remember this: professed "critics" are human, not saints on any matter, so they can and many times are bias and even prejudice for and/or against directors, actors, etc., and will give any given program a dislike in their own, arrogant ways. Big Sky is a 8/10 for me, worth watching.

Great movie. Emotional, inspiring, fun, exciting. When eat a meal, do we critique it? When we go on a joy ride, do we critique it? When we smell flowers and other good smelling things, do we critique them? When we hear a song we like, the overwhelming majority of us probably started liking it when we first heard it. There are some things we do critique, and those tend to be the very expensive things in life. Otherwise, the majority of things or just about anything else, it's a natural thing: we like it or we don't. "Critics" tend to be full of ignorance, arrogance, bias, prejudice and too much pride, usually to please the equally-in-character general public masses. The Finest Hours was a great film.

I am three episodes in and I am loving it. So far there hasn't been a tedious moment, even when it may appear a slow moment for some, for me it has not been there yet. Additionally, the outdoor experience is always a breath-taking plus, regardless mostly being filmed in Canada. I hope the show is not cancelled any time within the next few years. I watch it on Hulu.

One star minus due to the writing, but four stars because the acting and overall production is/was Outstanding.

I like the 2000 version easily more.

The best sea voyage, or anything to do with the sea, movie ever. To date, apart from some war-time movies. Sure "Pirates Of..." is lot's of fun and mysterious, and Titanic with it's posh and splendor, but this movie simply and surely has it all in a cultural and meaningful sense. Great cast, too, and I mean, although he wasn't given the lead role, just his presence makes it more worthwhile: The greatest actor in movie history ever, Daniel Day-Lewis. I hope someday they make a Ferdinand Magellan film with as much quality as this movie.
