I enjoyed the movie right up until the ending. Not that the ending was bad. It was a happy ending. It just wasn’t the ending I was expecting. At first I felt let down but then I realized that it’s just because it wasn’t Disneyfied. I’m used to seeing happily ever after, but they’re actually was happily ever after. Just not what we are used to seeing in an animated movie. Looking at it through my nine-year-old granddaughter’s eyes. She just accepts that that IS the happy ending and that’s just the way it is, so maybe she’s better off than I am. After all when I grew up watching the Disney movies, everybody found their prince and lived happily ever after, but that’s not the real world and that’s okay too.
