Wonderful costume drama that had me gripped actually. The fact it had similarities to other well known period dramas was pretty insignificant to me. Sexual scenes were almost real ! The acting was very good and “Sally Webster’s “ daughter, Phoebe Dynevor, not having seen her before was quite ethereal and really well acted in her role. I particularly loved the nod to Gossip Girl an old USA series I must admit I really liked and the tipsy turvy view of the regency aristocracy was like planet of the apes, brilliantly done ! The costumes were beautifully colourful and locations lavish Just what you need on Christmas Day not some old repeats or same old same old. Well done to all the cast !

Beautiful film with wonderful storyline and acting I loved it. Slightly Notting Hill but for me that helped. I love the way those films are depicted ..
