Although many people are saying this movie is awful it is actually very good. It is quite different from the novel but that is what makes it interesting to watch- if it was the exact same as the novel, why watch it? I'll tell you why you should watch it... The first scene is really good, it already shows the chaos and really symbolizes chaos. I watched a bit of the British version but I just feel like it's better in American, when I was reading it I imagined it being American. The actors are very good in this movie- especially Jack and Piggy. I don't understand why people think they aren't good! They are just kids and also they had to have auditioned to get in! I watched this in class and it was a little awkward as there is some swearing, but to be realistic, many 12-year-olds I know always swear especially when there aren't any adults around, so it is quite realistic. The director really captured the savagery with Jack's tribe and I love the design of their face paint! :3 It really shows the chaos around the fire but was a little sad with Simon & Piggy. I personally loved Jack the most because he was my favorite character and also because he is very strong and brave (but a bit mean). Most people in my class really enjoyed this movie because it is very interesting and emotional too! I will definitely watch this again and I recommend you do too!
