Er Po

I was hoping to watch this and fall in love, just like I did with the original GG. Unfortunately, this is so poorly written, that it’s hard to sit through. The original GG was like a novel you couldn’t set down. The reboot is the book you had to force yourself to get through the first chapter before giving up. The teachers are terrible actors; not to mention the story line involving them is an epic failure. The mystery of who GG is doesn’t exist; that was the allure in the original show. The characters are basic; there isn’t much depth and they aren’t interesting enough to feel connected to. There is potential for good acting, but the writers didn’t write well enough for these characters to show their talent. It feels like it’s trying too hard. HBO really screwed this up. It could’ve been amazing, but this is just a joke.
