Mukund Gadgil – Google

The very first episode of this serial seemed really promissing. It had the potential for showing the sophistication and technological advancement of our defence forces. It had the potential for showing the endurance ability and intelligence of our commandos. The show has so far failed on all these counts. A few actors are trying to essay their role to their best, but the director has only succeeded in showing a thoroughly unprofessional defence academy. The trainers seem to be in need of training themselves. All the trainees are more focused on showcasing their personal problems endlessly. It is not supposed to be a family or social drama. Storyline is too lame for liking. The terrorists group (supposed naxalites) are shown more organised, cunning and clever than the protoganists. On the other hand the commandos are shown behaving like amateur and emotionally weak lot. Do the producers and the director really want to portray our defence institutions like this ?

It's rather a prequel to what we watched in last season. The role played by Vinay Pathak is very nicely and cleverly developed. He takes all the viewers along and tells the story of Himmat Singh by connecting the dots. One thing, however, comes to mind and that did just solving one complex case make Himmat Singh the master spy ? The time gap between this particular case and the one finding out the unidentified mystery man in the parliament attack seems to be at least 19 years. In all these years Himmat Singh must have cracked number of complicated cases. There is no mention of any such cases in the narrative. Kay Kay Menon is outstanding. Aftab Shivdasani is competent but unrecognizable because of his physique and that moustache. Vinay Pathak is utterly lovable and dependable. All other actors put in good performances. Good locations, good cinematography and excellent production values make this series a treat to watch.

A dog remembers things, places and people from his several previous births !! Well, that is a kind of stuff we all love to imagine happen. Age is strictly no bar. Good casting and good acting. Good selection of dog breeds too. The director and cameraman and editor all have done excellent job of capturing appropriate emotions and expressions of all dogs. All viewers will like happy ending. Kids will love this movie. Good work.
