It's rather a prequel to what we watched in last season. The role played by Vinay Pathak is very nicely and cleverly developed. He takes all the viewers along and tells the story of Himmat Singh by connecting the dots.
One thing, however, comes to mind and that did just solving one complex case make Himmat Singh the master spy ? The time gap between this particular case and the one finding out the unidentified mystery man in the parliament attack seems to be at least 19 years. In all these years Himmat Singh must have cracked number of complicated cases. There is no mention of any such cases in the narrative.
Kay Kay Menon is outstanding. Aftab Shivdasani is competent but unrecognizable because of his physique and that moustache. Vinay Pathak is utterly lovable and dependable. All other actors put in good performances.
Good locations, good cinematography and excellent production values make this series a treat to watch.
