Truly an incredible modern take on a classic Lovecraft story. The visuals perfectly capture the un-reality that takes place in cosmic horror. Nicolas Cage plays himself perfectly and becomes unhinged at the same rate as the movie. Going into it you have to understand that even though Nicolas Cage is a big name. I wouldn't call him the star/lead role. The movie is about the entire families decline into madness. To the reviewers who say "The Color Out of Space spends most of its time outright stealing bits of better horror films (The Thing, Slither, From Beyond)"... No sh**... Lovecraft inspired all of that. It's all drawn from roughly the same source. Do yourself a favor and see this movie!!
