WILD WORLD IS FOR THE NINTENDO DS AND CAME OUT IN 2005, PLEASE STOP LEAVING REVIEWS FOR NEW HORIZONS HERE
I would like to be very clear before I say what I need to say about Wild World; if you haven't already, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON CITY FOLK FOR THE WII. It's basically Wild World without all of the amazing exclusive features and personality from Wild World. Also, the lack of any other skintone besides white is a huge issue and should have been an issue when it came out in 2005. Luckily with New Horizons, players are given the options between various skintones. To me, that is the only flaw with the past Animal Crossing games. Anyways;
One of the most defining games of my childhood. Unfortunately, I didn't fully appreciate it for what it was when I was younger when this came out. Looking back on it, it's one of, if not, my favorite Animal Crossing game in the franchise. While New Horizons has quite a bit more customization and other features to it's predecessors, Wild World will always have a special place in my heart. Besides the fact this game has the best music in the whole series, the villagers had more personality (Even the NPCS), and the Wild World exclusive features alone make it my personal favorite. One in particular, would be star-gazing and learning about Constellations with Celeste. The in-depth look into Astrology was incredible! Along with Villagers decorating their houses for one week in February! AND YOU COULD STOP VILLAGERS IN BOXES FROM LEAVING. Along with Flower Fest; a 1 week event in April, where you compete with your villagers to see who has a greener thumb by planting and maintaining flowers. And also The Acorn Festival; Every October, your player gives acorns to the "mysterious" Cornimer, where you could get fortunes and the Mush furniture series. Even the exclusive Holidays like Yay Day (Giving all your villagers compliments), or even La-Di-Day (A fun event for creating a town tune). And the most notable and comical, INSURANCE! Lyle will literally chase you around your island to buy his insurance package. I've rambled for far too long now, and this alone doesn't even do the game justice, but I'm currently looking for a copy of the game so I can play it again. I promise you, if you were curious about any of the older Animal Crossing games, Wild World is a must-have.
