Unlike Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocket Man’s Taron Egerton doesn’t try to imitate Elton. In fact, the very things I feared, hearing someone else sing Elton, was what I liked best. The story is told by Elton, but Bernie’s lyrics hi light his story in the fashion of a musical and it’s fresh and touching. As the worlds biggest Elton fan, I was touched and moved by this fresh take on the bio pic, and I couldn’t be happier with this film. It is a gem and Egerton is charming and perfect.
