I loved it, especially enjoyed the bloopers at the end. You rarely see bloopers anymore, unless you purchase a Dvd and most times not even then.
Reasons for enjoying the film:
1)They went above and beyond to connect the first film to the second. By even re-doing some scenes with the replaced actress. It was refreshing to see a company actually take the effort, even though the newer actress was only introduced for a moment.
2)I enjoyed the graphics, and the fact that everything wasn't JUST cgi, made me happy. They actually had the costumes for this, which again showed the effort; to not just go full CGI like other lazy current movies.
3)The fact that the first 30 minutes of the movie is them going to the ship isn't even bad, the first movie was an hour and a half of them getting to the ship. The characters got there in what I would consider a record breaking time. With movies these days, 3/4 of the movie is them trying to get from point A to point B. But with this second installment, they got there quickly then proceeded with the actual story.
4)Noel Gugliemi, enough said.
I don't think critics always understand what an audience wants. So I'm sad this was given low ratings. When anything is labeled Sci-Fi, logic is always thrown out the window, of course it wouldn't happen in real life, so the genre; like paranormal, shouldn't be compared.
My personal rating 7.8/10
