at first the show was interesting, funny, with beauty, food, etc., but for the past year or so someone has decided that this show should speak for the supposed downtrodden, socially disadvantaged, people - it is not a political show and I do not want to take a break from real life to watch screaming, sarcasm, etc. - I can go to many other places for this. Lately the BLM situation is becoming overbearing - my best friend is black and, when she is not working in a hospital and has time we will have a coffee together and watch this show from our homes - she is fed up with it. Her kids were well raised, are educated, polite, good jobs, etc. and yes, they do find that they get hassled at times by the police, but I (white girl) did too when I was younger because I would be hanging around and it was considered loitering; my mom would receive a phone call about me.
Go back to being fun, entertaining, and if you are really interested read Candace Malcolm's expose on how Afro Americans and Canadians are the only culture in the world who will stand up for and defend the lowest of the low, as long as they are black. Her argument is that the level should be raised - if a Chinese, White, Indian, etc. person gets into trouble they will not be defended by having public demonstrations in defence of the miscreant.
Too bad, as it was a nice break to watch something entertaining during the day. Since nothing happened to Jess Allen when she was rather ridiculous a few months ago, a few of the ladies are becoming more and more self-righteous.
