I went to see it, curious to see Lady Gaga in her next film after winning an Oscar. I read some of the panning reviews, but I think they're fixated on the fact/fiction the story is based on. Chill out! It's like how Shakespeare took stories from the past to fabricate his own enduring plays. I didn't know the media sensation of the Gucci assassination... the facts are apparently stranger than fiction, but how to treat this... except for the universal strains of family pride, family bonds, temporal romantic love and lust and what endures. The music, pop and operatic, enlarges the absurdity of what is comic and tragic in the saga...truths stranger than fiction. I think maybe critics are not satisfied because it glides over what made Patrizia hire the killers. I think that made the script-writing and the cinematizing of what story approach to screen so difficult. I think the only thing I didn't like was excessive takes on Lady Gaga's glaring and goading her husband to action...But the energy in the film throughout was magnificent.
