Who has ever heard of an MG42 with a scope, or a Browning hand-gun with anti-glare visor? CoD has moved so far from its roots that aimed to provide an authentic WW2 First Person Shooter aiming for something closer to Battlefield's aimless shootouts with endless respawns until one side wins and one side looses. CoDs Deathmatch gameplay is very good, but it's not authentic! I'm old school, so going woke on the characters also doesn't work for me. It has created a post-apocalyptic look and feel that does not reflect what 1939 to 1945 looked like. CoD has gone for pleasing the crowds (which is understandable) but sacrificed its roots.
