The movie wasn't that good. It was alright, I mean. It didn't really have the scary movie ambiance. Like, you know how most movies have the really loud sound effects and silences where you can feel and hear the vibrations? Well, this one didn't which kinda ruined it. And, since reading the books as a kid, I was hyped. But, they only told like four stories from the actual book in the movie! And only 2 of the stories they cgi'd were even scary looking. Also! They made the whole movie kinda like a love story, which sucked. It was too emotional too. And not good emotional. They were trying to tell too much of the lead character's past rather than the scary stories which they were based off of. All and all, it was alright, but I wouldn't watch it again 4/10
