Liked the series because the lead guy was good. The female lead was over the top and too caricaturish for me, without any emotional depth or arc. She was neither shown to be socially awkward or introvert, it was a lame attempt to portray her character the way she is. Every indian mother is obsessed with their child's wedding but that did not need to define her character. The actor who played it was also not able to grasp the role and it turned out too lame. The storyline was predictable but fun, so ok for a binge when you have some free time in hand.

Two stars only for the male lead in season 2- he was too good and too intense. The female lead was expressionless and useless in the context of the series. I mean, all the cops seemed so useless, just to make the villain appear more menacing. He wasn't menacing afterall and seemed nagging and annoying after a point fo time with the same repetition of tactics which supposed seasoned cops fells for again and again. The director of the golden team was absolute useless and never learned from her mistakes from earlier incidents. The hacker on the team was just as useless. The formulaic approach and the reception of the lame villains ideology over and over irritated me endlessly. I mean, to be listening in onto the evryone in the station and no one being able to figure it out and even if they do figure out, they do nothing about it. It was just too childish and stupid. The first season was good, yes. The female lead was lame in it as well, but the male leads made up for it.

Went into this with too much expectations but figured out the story and the real Shubh by the beginning of the first episode, so it lost all the charm. I might get a lot of brickbats for this I know, but I am being honest. After figuring it out, it was plain torture to complete - felt like no one was actually investigating anything on the CBI end. They felt like an actual joke. Plus, too much of distractions and unnecessary plotlines- phew! Plus, this Jigsaw Killer discovering a book on Indian mythology thing didn't work for me much. It would have made sense to show some scenes of actual conflict of moral values. Just my thought. Plus, the grown up Shubh was not impressionable, impactful or charismatic enough to gain the status of the cult leader. None of the antagonists, actually were. Only if that were the case, maybe the story would have made some impact. Going back to watching Saw after this series end, just to witness the decline of "equilibrium" as the podcast dude mentioned. It was a plain meh for me.
