Terrific cast, and an uplifting story that holds great pace, humor and really puts you in line for the family Thanksgiving. Definitely in my top five holiday movies, alongside The Ref, and Home for the Holidays. All great movies, all great casts.

This movie was quirky, wild, and completely hilarious. Absolutely worth watching. Another grab the popcorn and make a cocktail movie. No doubt whatsoever I would watch it again in a heartbeat.

One of my very favorites. Not for the least reason that I remember when the wall came down. Update: It is now almost a year later, back in my feed, and back on my watchlist. I’ve seen it three times so far. Charlize Theron Nails her role as does pretty much everyone else, and the Twist… total Chef’s Kiss.

Excellent portrayal of the dynamic between an alcoholic and the people who love her. Unfortunately, I am only too well aware.😔

Excellent film. Very realistic family dynamics; I knew people like that (I’m originally from New York and New Jersey, many generations back). It was sweet, and the ending monologue was beautiful. Excellent performances by all, and Laurie Metcalf‘s final comment was so true and priceless. It is available on Hulu and I expect also Disney+ until Wednesday: it is now Friday, 8:15pm Hawai’i time, September 12, 2025. Once it moves off of these platforms I expect it’ll be on one or more of someone’s. I highly recommend it. I give it 4.75 stars, as almost nothing in my world is five. Unless it’s a person in retail who has to be a five to be taken seriously. 🌺🌺

I saw The Abyss in the theater when it first came out, and it was excellent; grade A; until the ending. It went from an A to a D like That. I can only do whole stars in this review, but the ending truly brought it down to a Three 1/2 star film. If the ending had been as terrific as the rest of the movie, it would’ve been a five all the way.

Still one of my favorite sci-fi fantasy movies; next to Brazil, Dark City, Tron and Tron ll, City of Lost Children, The original Matrix, and Delicatessen. It cracks me up that this is 2025, and LA looks nothing like the film. Also, Craig Bierko was SO Hot Back then. I was 31 and complete girl crush. Very worth watching. Five stars hands-down.

Excellent movie; Stellar cast. Viola Davis, as usual, never misses a beat. I love that she is the top dog in the billing, and she truly does carry this movie. Everyone else is fantastic; including Support. It says a great deal about women, and wives, and the way in which We as ourselves work around and survive. There is a good deal of violence of course, but the emotional backstory and relationships between the wives and their husbands are fully formed in at least the first 30 minutes. There is a solid backstory. It’s also a bad ass dramatic movie. Men should like it. Women will. I give it five stars. Again, the acting was impeccable, and the story solidly told.🙂‍↕️🌺

One of the best shows ever on television. Dramatic, funny, timely even now, terrific cast, and I would go back to it any time.

Fun and lighthearted, it’s Michael J Fox in his heyday. The kind of movie we go back to.
