JoAnn Magnuson

This is a very unique Holocaust survivor story. Starts with young Mordechai in Europe with his mother but we follow him as a young orphan, having lost both parents, not certain if they are dead or alive, and he arrives in Israel still a child but having to react as an adult. Through many disappointments he makes wise choices and tells his story in a down to earth manner.

I read it when it first came out, I was in 8th grade. I loved it and it fed my life-long motivation to study Jewish & Christian history.
