Spoiler alert...so a chance meeting of star crossed lovers in their first hours of searching for one another in London in 1946, then the largest city in the world, was one of the plot mechanisms that prevented this very British movie from hitting top gear in my mind. However, the acting was very convincing, the scenery was spectacular, and attention to period details amazing.
