Never written a public review other than my personal journal. Wanted to watch this film for Sanya and Tamil. Being a Tamil native speaker I had no expectations but there were many mistakes which disappointed me. If you're looking for a romantic movie maybe you'll like it. Still never figured out why Tamil culture?Why Madurai?If long relationship was the main content it could have been any place,even in Mumbai. Everytime be it Bollywood or Tollywood has always confused Tamil Nadu and it's neighbouring state Kerala. My concern is if you've chosen a particular culture atleast try to get it right. Storyline nothing much. Tamil Brahmin culture - They messed up big time right from Washti which isn't lungi and they don't wear it 24/7 everywhere.It's thirunooru/vibhuti on the forehead and not sandanam(sandalwood paste).Thali(Mangalsutra isn't double row),language was disappointing again and no Brahmin accent at all,atleast if they got Tamil right could have been better.There are many sweet dishes served but Rasmalai is never part of any Tamil occassion. Why only Kari dosa?There are so many other meat dishes.They don't wear a hair bun all the time and the wedding attire wasn't of a Brahmin style.Nephew calls him chikkappa instead of chittappa(uncle) the first time.Not much of Madurai and Bengaluru too.I've never heard of any employer who recruits based on marital status.Vazhakka bajji is consumed in TN and pazham pori in Kerala. And the list goes on.So if none of this matters and this review seems baseless kindly ignore it. Bengaluru and not even a single Kannada word other than Dr.Vishnu's and Ambareesh sir's song played in the cab?And the address mentioned was Sarjapur Outer Ring Rd,Jayanagar - Jayanagar and Sarjapur Rd are 2 different localities altogether and who gives presentation in a 5 star hotel?So the boss is impressed with Sundareshwar's work but he has to quit since he's married but asked to give the presentation just for the sake of it but he leaves the presentation half way through it? Mee-naa-kshi and not Minakshi , leaves her inlaws place,neither the inlaws come to her parents place and vice versa. Not much in the storyline though it is flawed. So if the culture wasn't important then why show it?Like mentioned earlier I had no expectations but these flaws got me.These are really disappointing. My 2 cents. Overall 1 time watch - Sanya has done her best to fit into this role. Also it isnt Sundareshwar temple but Sundareswarar.
