Buena película, agridulce, la guerra con un toque humor que le quita peso a la gravedad de la situación. Buen casting. 4 estrellas porque me ha parecido corta.

A lot of things in this movie just didn't make any sense and it seems the plot throws something unbelievable a few times. From Samuel takkng on a baby whitout questioning for his actual paternity then and there to him being able to fly with a 'random' baby to another country (it made me think kidnapping a minor and taking them to another country is really that easy?) considering they have different surnames and he wouldn't have been able to proof he is the dad. To then later on the plot the mum suddenly reading her facebook after 8 years and immediately wanting to take on her role as mother? Like, seriously? And then out of nowhere someone is dying and first you think is Samuel but... Anyway, amazing how he changed his entire life and gave it all for this girl, bit that's about it.

I watched the movie a couple of days after finishing the book. Books are always better than movies, but in this case the book its a million times better, the movie just doesn't do it justice. I really missed a lot of things such as Clemensia with the snake attack (which didnt reach my expectations)and the aftermath of it, or the way Lucy Gray wins the Games. The casting I don't think it's so good, the best one is Viola Davis as Dr Gaunt. Snow is portrayed ok, but it misses a lof inner moral fight and the high anxiety it causes him that he might get caught. I also didn't see him really falling for Lucy Gray as I would have liked to see. All in all I was disappointed with the movie, I expected better.
