I watched this movie with my parents whom had gone through the Khmer rouge . Watching it makes me feel closer to my country and respect my country. Its a must watch but one thing my dad pointed out during the movie was that its lacked of horror image. Now i know u would find this considering that this movie is hard to go through but there is still sooo much more gruesome punishment that i wish were included for people to see. Well this is a story of a women childhood so i cant blame . Overall i highly reccomend this movie to anyone as long as u dont mind reading subtitles. After watching i definetly respect my country and the adults and elder that had gone through this horrible regime and having their childhood and life ruin all because of the madness of a couple of people.
