Underdogs win this show. I watched seasons 1 and 2 back to back bc I saw Bridgett Everett on Andy and Anderson on NYE. I thought, who is this amazingly brash woman who just dgaf! I LOVED HER and I love this show. It's inspiring, relatable, and perfect for our times. It's funny, its touching, it makes Kansas look pretty, and I've never been to Kansas. Every character is given the opportunity to grow from introspection, and you'll find yourself rooting for every one of them bc each is an underdog in their own way. No one is cool or hip, and yet they are if you give them a chance, just like real people. If you haven't seen Somebody Somewhere, go ahead and give it a chance. You won't be disappointed.

This is a cute show, but I have real issues with Paxton-centered episode in the 4th season. First of all, he is not a professional anything. He joins the staff at SOHS as an assistant swim coach and is referred to as a teacher and a professional throughout the episode and season. He is not a teacher. He is a college dropout. This one of the many reason teachers everywhere get absolutely no respect. Thankfully, he finally decides to go back to school and enter the teacher's college.
