MON HEISS

This is such a wonderful series/ have binged all episodes but need to review again/ multiple layers involving each character with clear storyline, but rich and complex interactions between characters. The series is jolted off centre throughout, setting up scenarios that are unexpected with an underbelly of metaphysical realities pulling the characters out of the common thread. Many contemporary American issues setup and debated throughout, especially relating to the family members, with beautifully controlled performances. The photography is again rich and having the deep tonal qualities that really enhance the characters, storyline and the Oregon country. Fab!

This film is frightening in its similarities to Australian Governance/we use to have free education but the elite didn't want to impose an equitable taxation on big businesses to pay for it/ a better health system that is becoming so clogged and expensive because of market power and drug companies exerting pressure on the system/ do political powers really believe that big business is going to make a difference to Democracy, social cohesion, improved lifestyle etc/ Inequality will spread because of corporate protectionism, so maybe a good study of EU governance might be a starting point for changes to occur to our Democracy
