Excellent film, portraying the true story of lifelong friendship born from and despite of historical prejudice and attitudes (which unfortunately still prevails) in an almost factual way. Which is unfortunately not how the present culturally aware, social media polarised, “politically correct” population see historical events, and who wish to remove, change, sanitise and airbrush historical events of the past, created by the actions of their ancestors. These, current opinions and views are in contrast to the perceived values from the past that our parents had during their lifetimes, which should be seen as lessons to be learned from past mistaken beliefs, for the future progression of total human harmony. Should be viewed as a vision and insight to and of our past. And a statement of unsavoury truth!
