A brilliant drama with an outstanding script and amongst the best acting on the small screen. Three marvelous female leads. A frightening portayel of reality in some lives. Not for the sensitive drama palate and some may find it upsetting. I certainly did.

Dreadful and silly. I have see several explanations to this movie and none convince me that it is anything but a waste of time. It tries to be clever and achieves the opposite.

Did not do it for me and generally inferior to the genre. Poor script that did not really capture the true greatness of the band and the tragedy of Freddy's life. The live aid scenes seemed contrived. The interpretation of FM role had it in movement and composure but little else.

Close is brilliant. So far out from her norm she is spellbinding. Pryce his normal genius. Ironic that her unhappiness is more to do with deceipt rather than the main theme. Class movie that will probably be banished to art houses and home players. Close performance is Oscar worthy but too much competition to be an obvious winner. I hope for her.

First off I should state I am a Julia Davis fan. I have always found her a little Felliniesque. I have heard her say she intends making people uncomfortable and she certainly did that in a graphic scene in which we saw a man deficate on her face whilst masterbating. At that point I very nearly turned off but glad not as it continued in her usual comic dramatic style covering all human frailties. Not for the fainthearted ur uninitiated.

Brilliant performances and a sheer stunning almost cameo by the brilliant Jason Watkins. Technically the film is up there with the best but found it difficult to involve myself other than with the obvious themes. Of the film I expected more. Needs seeing for the performances.

Best movie watched for a long time. Typical Coen genius. Brilliant script, cast, acting and story lines hold your attention. Great cinematography. Highly recomend. Did not expect this.
