I have just read the Introduction to this exciting new book, and I'm ordering it this second! Scott Newstok's take on the importance of thinking (earnestly!) is one with which, as a teacher, writer and Shakespeare fan myself, I am in strong agreement. Just the Introduction alone is replete with quotes and references that open up a world of further thinking (and remembering!) possibilities. Evidently a deeply researched scholar work, aggregating many thoughts about thinking, it reads easily, and could function as a guide for what we need to know or remember about literature and what it teaches us about life. Can't wait to hold in my hand and start underlining passages and post-it-ing pages. Thank you!
