So now that I've seen the movie. I can say it's not bad for a first time director whose name I couldn't pronunce properly even if she ran up one with a bat, I do apologise for that, however she is a competent director. The camera work is excellent never lingering on anything deemed inappropriate for very long. The cinematography sets the tone well enough to leave me with the impression of the main character being a pendulum swing back in forth between who she's trying to be and what her family wants her to be, some ideas presented in the movie aren't clear though and it's here that the movie leaves me wondering if there was more story that unfortunately got left on the cutting room floor. Too many things draw me back out of the movie. While I can say I like the director attempt to showcase apart of her narrative it still felt like a person who's only telling you part of the story, like it's the truth but not the whole truth. IDK, subject matter alone is enough to make people myself included back of, but as a parent of two daughters, one who is at that weird of age of not being a child and not being a woman I think this was made for her, not me, not you and especially those pedophiles that I've heard the movie was made for. I believe that it was made for her and other young girls who feel lost in today's society and thinks that sexuality is the key to freedom. I'm not sure. But it's not so bad.
